Steve Anness, KJ5T

Hello and welcome to my page. From the start you can probably tell that I am a nerd and this page serves the purpose of giving me an area where I can perhaps begin to share some content with my visitors. However, the primary agenda of this page is to share information about me.

I began my life in a small central Texas town. I was the son of a prominent IT director and grew up around technology. At the age of 13 I obtained my Amateur Radio License and was Extra class when I was 16 years olds. I have always had a love affair with technology. I attended Texas State Technical College and graduated in August 2008 with a degree in Computer Network & Systems Administration (UNIX Specialization).

Currently I am working for Humanitarian International Services Group, a non-profit organization that helps fund, provide resources and logistical support for people who are already in third world countries on the ground making changes to help sustain these third world countries. My role in the organization is as an ICT Support Analyst responsible for a number of different tasks. I maintain a Voice Over IP System that supports the entire organization. I have helped the organization get amateur radio communications and I am responsible for IT Support across the organization and mainly focusing on the IT infrastructure at our Global Information Center located in Meridian, TX.
